It was like a war zone here last night, pleased to say quieter tonight because off bad weather, trouble is there will be twice as many going off tomorrow Confused I am not against fireworks and everyone having fun it's the size of the fireworks that gets me and the noise. Sad

Joan, I hate fireworks with a passion! Even when I was young I did not like the damn things.

They are dangerous, noisy, and an absolute waste of money.

I must admit, I've been pleasantly surprised this year by the lack of fireworks prior to bonfire night, usually, it's like bonfire night every night for about a week beforehand, but htis year, very quiet indeed !
In fact, even bonfire night itself was a lot quieter than usual, perhaps it's the credit crunch biting at last .
We had the usual large village display, professionally handled, on the village sports ground, but in the village itself, not many fireworks at all.

Yes, it's been pretty quiet here in sunny Romford as well, Bonfire Night was peaceful, Sat night, a few bangs, but nothing to worry about. I even went to Bed early, and the Fireworks didn't prevent me sleeping, or disturb my 4 Pussycats.! When you think about it, it celebrates a Terrorist, Guy Fawkes, and the rest of his Gang.!, Maybe he had the right idea, the current Goverment could certainly do with a rocket up their backsides.!

Lots of loud bangs.

Bright flashes.

Loads of noxious smoke.

I really must see about getting a new car! Very Happy

The weather has been on our side this weekend, it poured on Friday night, and we have had a big storm tonight, still can hear a few going off, but it has been much better than last year Smile
