I caught my little finger in the car door today!!!!! I pulled it out with the shock, only to find the door was tightly closed, so I gues I am lucky to still have a finger.  Allbeit with a lovely shade of blue nail, and very sore!!

I hate anything to do with nails or eyes janowl, hope your fingernail split because a build up of blood behind the nail can be very painful, oh just cringing for you now Sad

As Joan says, Jan, lets hope it's split, because otherwise the pressure will be virtually intolerable for you.

Don't want to be a "wet blanket", but you will probably lose the nail.
Sad

Thanks peeps.  No it isn't split!!!!!!  I'll see how it goes.  Son had to have a hole drilled in his when it happened.  Don't think I like that idea, but hey ho if needs must.  I probably will lose it at some point.

You shouldn't need a hole drilled in it Jan, just heat a good size needle up until it is red hot and then pierce the nail where it is discoloured with it. Works every time ! Smile

Let's hope it doesn't get to that stage though !!
