Because of my illness, it seems that many people who know about me expect me to just be moping about feeling sorry for myself, and they seem surprised by my zest for life and plans for the future.
Shouldn't I have any plans then? Just because I have cancer, do they think that my life is now over, and I should just resign myself to my fate?
Well, I have some news for them, and for others who have been diagnosed with cancer.
I am still as active as I can be, and enjoying life as much as I can.
True, I did go to sleep in the chair this afternoon for a couple of hours, and a couple of days ago, I had no energy to do anything, but, mostly, I just keep on going, refusing to give into this unpleasant thing that is probably trying it's level best to kill me. _________________ http://sewardchronicles.ning.com/
I felt on top of the world after my recent consultation with the Oncologist yesterday! Apparently, my X-Ray results came back and he told me that they were "clear".
Also, the drugs I am on are doing their work and are containing and reducing the inflammation and the cancer, but I must keep on with them also the blood-thinning injections.
However, this is a small price to pay for being able to function again and to enjoy my life.
Besides fitting out my home studio, I am also getting some work done in the main living area. Here is a pic of my new display cabinet, only fully finished this afternoon.
Wow thats a big cabinate Sandie what are you going to put in it? I take it you didn't do that work yourself?
Great news about your tests, My bloods came back good as well!! _________________
Joan, good news about your blood result, I'm pleased for you.
Actually, the new "cabinet" is a wall unit that measures eight foot by three foot six inches.
The bottom shelf is for the "overspill" from my vinyl collection which has already filled it with a few left over still.
The other shelves are being used for my collection of Diecast Models.
No, I could not make anything like that myself. A very nice man called Micheal built and fitted it for me, and now he has a few more jobs that I have needed doing as well. _________________ http://sewardchronicles.ning.com/
Dusting, Joan? What's dusting????? No, seriously, as my late friend Quentin Crisp used to say: "after the first four years the dust doesn't get any worse!" _________________ http://sewardchronicles.ning.com/
