The condition of Coronation Street actress Maggie Jones is said to have improved slightly after major surgery.

The star, who plays Blanche Hunt in the soap, was earlier said to have been seriously ill in hospital.

"There has been an improvement this afternoon in Maggie's condition and she seems to have turned a bit of a corner," a spokesman for the soap said.

She certainly plays a good part, but don't you think her family would have done her in by now if she was like it in real life!!!! Confused
