Just over 20 years ago an Indian family took over the little shop on the main road where I live. They are a nice couple and their daughters used to go to the same school as my granddaughter.
They sell papers and other bits and bobs that folks cant be bothered to go into town for and they are always very pleasant to talk to.
I have just come back from a walk to get our local daily paper from there and outside the shop is a big notice saying
"20 YEARS TODAY. MANY THANKS FOR YOUR CUSTOM."
Inside the shop there was a table laid out with many goodies including a drink for anyone who called in.
What a nice way to say THANKYOU to the customers.

That's great, Maisie, it's always good to see Immigrants settling into and becoming part of, the local Community.

A really nice gesture on behalf of the Shopkeepers. Very Happy

For saying they have been targeted by thieves and a gunman Sandie I admire their tenacity for NOT letting it interfere with their lives.
