Believe me, if I had even realised just how busy I would be, I don't think I would have ever started our latest Board.
"Job Watch" has become a nightmare, firms are shedding jobs faster than a tree sheds it's leaves.
I have yet to total them, but this week alone the total of jobs lost must run into a couple of thousand. This is so worrying, as I don't think these jobs, once they are gone, will ever return.
Lots of job cuts have been in the South Wales area, an area that was already pretty depressed before this latest recession ever began.
I hate to think what some of those families must be going through.

yes sandie this country is in a very sorry state now, lots of the shops in Deal have closed or are going to we have to travel to Dover now if we want anything except food, even the young ones are going to get there clothes, such a shame.

If you combine the lack of "Consumer Spending" with the obscenely high Business Rates, Rent, and other overheads including Staff Wages, I do not know how any shops can keep going, Jackie.

well Sandie im glad to say that another shop has opend in place of one that closed its a warehouse shop sounds a bit crappy but it sells just about every thing and its all good stuff so with people not haveing much money they are flocking to it,also a Pound Saver shop that was going to close is staying open and they have loads of new stock, again it sounds crappy but the stock is all good tho cheap and every one has breathd a sigh of releaf because it looks as if things are begining to look up again here.

That's some good news, Jackie, it proves to me just how much shops have been ripping us off over the past few years.
