Anger over proposed "Drop-In Drugs Centre."The anger is partly my own, as well as others that I have talked to over this proposed "Drop-In" Centre for druggies.
Right in the heart of Pitsea Town centre where I live!
Whilst I have no problems with the idiots who harm themselves and damage their bodies by using drugs (I was on Amphetemines (Speed) myself for three years), I do object to a "Centre" where they can congregate, possibly leave discarded and dangerous needles around, for kids to pick up and perhaps prick themselves with.
It is proposed that this "centre" is placed in one of the many empty shop properties in the area, right alongside the Market, and in full view of passers-by.
Not happy. Not happy at all at this idea. Druggies these days are not like druggies in my day. The cannabis is stronger and more volatile, there is "crack" and heroin, along with many other harmful and dangerous substances.
Of course, who is going to have to pay for this empty shop to be fitted out and re-furbished?
That's right. The poor bloody Council Tax Payer again, as usual!
