Banana Bargain. At the local market today I saw a sign I thought said ' 3 for50p' on the
bananas, so I said I will have some of them please, gave my 50p, and
when the stallholder gave me the bag it felt so heavy,I looked inside,
and there were lots of bananas, three pounds, in weight, 'Yes thats
right' said the stallholder,'they are a bit spotty' and as it is Saturday
they may all just as well go'.
So now, it is bananas for breakfast on cereals, banana sandwich for
lunch, and bananas with yogourt for sweet after my evening meal.
Should have lots of energy after that lot.

Great to get real bargains, Dora, my local market is the same, can often pick up genuine bargains in fruit and veg and other foodstuffs that they don't want hanging about over the weekend, and wouldn't be able to sell on Monday. Well Done, enjoy the "fruits of your labour".....

That sounds mouthwateringly delicious and I love honey. Do you think if I did the toast seperately I could put the banana and honey on top and stick it in the microwave?

I will dora, just as soon as I remember to buy the honey. I went to Tesco this morning and forgot all about it. I've got chocolate hazelnut spread and squirty cream and loads of bananas though. Shall I experiment with those?

I did experiment with those but I'll try the honey, when I remember to buy it, it was very nice with the chocolate and cream on top of the bananas though.
I don't use the grill because it's in the top of the oven and there isn't a guard to go behind it. I know I won't be able to clean above it properly and if I use it so will Tony and he cooks everything on full heat there'll be a fire.
