World war three has just started,oh no its another bonfire night just like last night and the one the night before,what happened to the days when we waited with baited breath for the 5th of Nov to let off the fireworks we had collected with pocket money,no one would dare let of their fireworks before that date, now it seems the one night a year has turned into a week or more Evil or Very Mad

Fully agree, Jo-Jo. I HATE fireworks with a passion! Never liked them as a child, either. (Liked bonfires, though).
Fireworks to my mind are an absolute waste of money, they can be dangerous if not handled carefully, they're noisy, and generally unpleasent. And some of these new varietys sound like bombs exploding. I'm just glad that I no longer have my little dog. She was terrified of fireworks, and it was pitiful to watch her on bonfire nights, shaking and trembling, and even weeing on the carpet with fright.
I had to give her a small dose of tranquilizers to try to calm her, but nothing seemed to work. Oh, well, bless her, she's at peace now. Rolling Eyes

I dont mind Fireworks per-se, but I think they should be withdrawn from Public Sale, and only allowed in Organised Displays. Why anyone wastes all that money, is beyond me, and effectively celebrating a Terrorist called Guy Fawkes.

I agree, Mike. If I had my way, the only fireworks allowed would be for licensed Public Displays. Too many people still don't seem to realise just how dangerous they can be.....until they get burned by them. You just wait, I bet the papers will be full of mishaps caused by youngsters not treating the things with respect.

Also they are so huge now one firework can last up to 5mins,I agree public displays only,but we all know why this is not happening don't we!!! people are making nice fat profits out of selling them.

we,v had fireworks going for a week now Jojo,they were so load lastnight we had to turn the t.v.up and they,v just started again,mind you they do seem to be organised partys cos they are all in the same place,its just that when one lot stops another lot starts im not a kill joy but its getting o. t. t. now Evil or Very Mad
