ChickensI see that battery farming is coming to an end GREAT I THOUGHT but in four years time FOUR YEARS how long does it take to bulldoze these sheds to the ground, I have bought only free range meat for years and have tried to make my friends aware of the cruelty but all they see are cheap prices

It is a very inhumane method of production, but it's all down to the cost factor once again. Not everyone can afford to buy free-range, I wish I could.

I am going to watch Jamie oliver tonight,I don't like watching anything to do with battery farms but saw him on TV this morning and what he was saying is about stopping imports of chickens from abroard,because our farmers are having to cut corners to compete with their prices.
Another animals welfare that needs looking into is the pig because they are battery farmed as well, they are lovely intelligent animals who deserve better
