Daffodils

Hi Everyone.
Apologies for not calling in for a few days due to family issues.

I have just taken this photo of the daffodils coming out by our fencing.

I marvel at the way they have pushed their way through the undercovering and the pebbles that we had put down.

We had three lawns but found them far too much now that we are older so we went for the pebbles and the ornaments plus containers and pots with flowers in them.
Much easier to control now.

Nature is wonderful. May, those daffs thought to themselves, 'pht....what's a bit of gravel to stop us showing our trumpets to the world?'   So that's what they did! Laughing

Lovely May, we have an area we put stones down with pots I think they look so nice, I have an old lilac tree and nothing grows a round it so we are putting stones there as well I will post a photo when it's done Smile

This is the area we have stoned there is a large fir tree and nothing grows near it so pots are a good way of adding colour

And this is the lilac tree ,as you can see it's a very old tree and has been cut back a lot, but it gives lovely floweres every year, but once again plants struggle to grow beneath it, so I will be putting stones down and some small pots around it soon Smile

In our "communal" garden, we also have a huge evergreen tree, and all around and underneath it nothing can grow, so recently we have had decking installed and it makes quite a difference.

Should be nice for the Summer.
Very Happy

Lovely JoJo.
I bet its nice when te sun is out sitting under the tree.

We had a tree on the front lawn but we had to have it taken out because the roots were travelling under the bungalow and the path.

Not been sitting under there for a couple of weeks May the blue tits are looking at the bird house and I don't want to put them off Smile
