Dogs 'dumped' beside main road.

Three mistreated Jack Russells, one dog, and two bitches, were discovered dumped alongside a main road in South Essex. The animals had been thrown froma passing truck. They were all suffering from a skin disorder, and have been treated by the RSPCA, who have launched an investigation.
RSPCA Inspector, Ruth Cordey said, " It was heartless and illegal to dump these dogs like this. We would like to hear from anyone who knows who did this. All calls will be treated in confidence."
The three Jack Russells have now been taken into care and are being treated and looked after by the RSPCA.
Yet another instance of cruelty to mans best friend!

What a horrible coincidence Admin, I was just reading in my local free paper tonite that a male and female Jack Russell, along with a 9 day old pup, were dumped on the outskirts of my village 3 days ago ! The male was spotted by a passing motorist wandering on the edge of road and when he stopped to investigate, he found the female curled up with the pup under a nearby hedge ! Both adult dogs had badly overgrown claws making it difficult for them to walk or stand and the poor female had a large growth on her side, sadly, she passed away in his car on the way to a local animal sanctuary. The male has been examined and cleaned up and will be put up for re-homing soon and the pup is being cared for around the clock and is doing very well according to reports.

Again, the police are appealling for witness's to come forward, but you just know that the heartless b*st*rds who do this sort of thing will get away scot free again Evil or Very Mad they probably even have new dogs by now and are starting the same sad process all over again !

Poeple like this shoukld be punished to the full extent of the law and forbidden to keep pets of any kind for the rest of their miserable lives !

I full-heartedly agree, Ken. People who treat any animal in this terrible and cruel way deserve to be banned for the rest of their life from ever keeping a pet again.

dogs dumped on roadside

please excuse the asterisks, but there are some real evil b***ards about when it comes to animal cruelty. anybody dumping animals because of whatever reason, should be dumped on a desert island, with no means of escape and made to fend for themselves from scratch.

last year a couple from near wisbech were raided by the rspca following a tip-off about their animals and the neglect. the conditions they kept them in were utterly appalling and so the pair rightly got jailed, but not for long enough. they also got banned from keeping any pets for life. there were no end of dead and decaying animals in cupboards, freezers and pens as well as their kitchen. it was so bad, the story made the national press and television. i will be honest when i say, i live just three to four miles from where they did until jailed.

I totally agree the people that do these things to animals should really be made to pay for it and prevented from ever keeping an animal again.

I tell you a story that happended some time back now, I had a friend called Martin.

When he lived in Hornchurch before he moved to Gidea Park i was round his house one day and his brothers girlfriend was round there with her dog, i think it kept barking or something i'm not to sure what happended now it's such a long time ago.

But she suddenly started beating her dog very hard with it's lead and most of the lead was made of metal, it made the dog yelp very loudly and painfully and she kept doing it.

I gave her a very nasty look and she asked me what was the look for and i told her that a dog must not be treated like that.

She said (and excuse the asterisks) quote "IT'S MY F*****G DOG AND I CAN DO WHATEVER THE F*** I LIKE TO THE F*****G THING, MIND YOU OWN F*****G BUSINESS AND SHUT YOUR F*****G MOUTH OR I'LL KNOCK YOU OUT".

And then Martin's brother also joined in (he's always up for a fight) and joined in on her side as he was going out with her at the time.

I could do nothing and left very upset and angry, i sometimes wonder what would have happened if i'd called the RSPCA or something.

But that dog didn't deserve to be treated like that.

It must have been terrible to see that Louise, my heart goes out to you. I'm afraid me being me, I would have probably quietly beaten the pair of them up with the lead and then taken the dog away with me Evil or Very Mad

I just don't understand the mentality of people who buy dogs and then treat them like that, these people shouldn't even be allowed a pet rock, let alone any living ,breathing animal ! I have absolutely no time or sympathy with anyone who mistreats animals of any kind for whatever reason Evil or Very Mad
Louise

It wasn't very plesant ken i can tell you that, and the way that dog was yelping again and again as she used the lead almost like a whip and it kept crashing into the dogs skin very hard, I've never heard a dog cry in pain like that before and i hope i never do again.

I wish i could have done something more to help the poor animal but i was faced with two angry adults when i tryied to defend the creature.

The beating that the dog took must a caused injurys but i'll never know how serious those injurys were.

I am very wary of Martin's brother, he is the kind who likes to let his fist do the talking and i think that he thinks it will always get him his way, the kind of person who i like to keep at arms lenth myself.

But due to the way he is if he attacked anyone they'd have no choice but to hurt him badly or wind up in hospital with serious injurys themselves.

I find it very sad and heartbreaking that there can be people like that who'd do this sort of thing to animals.

If i was in charge it would be terrible as there would be no beef as i could not bring myself to kill an animal for this, or wring a chickens neck or anything like that, but i do eat beef and i like KFC as well.

The thing is i feel that once the poor animal is dead, then it's dead and there's nothing more i can do for it so, i eat it.

Yes KFC is very nice, but ask me to kill the chicken myself and i could not do it, i would know that the chicken would be squalking in fear of losing it's life, it would be like someone putting a gun to my head, just about to blow my brains out.

I wonder what the personallity is of these people who work in slaughter houses, what is thier attitude towards animals is in general?.

I saw a TV programme once about loads of people training to be RSPCA workers, and one of the hardist things about the training is that you have to visit a slaughter house to learn how to destroy an animal that is too badly injured, now i think that an animals life should be given the same importance as a human life, am i wrong in thinking this?, but what you do is basicly get a gun a put a bullet into the centre of the animals forehead.

Yes i would imagine that this part of the training to be in the RSPCA is the hardist, i know i would find it so.

It may be hard to believe, but I am not intrinsically a violent person...........However, I will qualify that last statement by saying that folk like the ones you mention, those who have a propensity to use fists first and think later, only seem to understand one way of doing things. My feelings about this are that those who live by the sword, sill most surely die by the sword Evil or Very Mad I will always try to talk my way out of any situation that looks like it will end in violence but I will not give in to violent thugs.

As for those who perpetrate violence against animals who basically can't defend themselves and who also put their trust and faith in us humans, then I'm afraid they deverve everything they get. I will treat them with the same level of disgust I have for men who beat women and anybody who physically abuses children and older people !

There rant over, it may have shocked one or tow people that my feelings run this deep and for for that , I apologise, I am not out to shock people. I just feel very strongly about htis kind of situation, sorry.
Louise

I think i live by the princible that if someone is kind and nice to me, then i'll be kind and nice to them, but if someone was nasty or rude or violent towards me, then it does not matter what gender they are, they deseve all they get and don't deserve any respect from me whatsoever, and if someone (man or woman) physically attacks me, i am entitiled to defend myself.

Would you agree with this Ken?.
Ken R

I wholeheartedly agree with you Louise, everyone has the right to defend themselves and their property. I'm pretty sure it's enshrined in our constitution somewhere or other.

I'm not a particularly religious man but I'm sure that even the Bible says " an eye for an eye", I know it also says to turn the other cheek, I'm all for this as well as it gives everyone an option !

The "sickos" who perpetrate this sort of behaviour should be locked up and the keys thrown away Evil or Very Mad
These poor animals only want someone to love them and give them a warm and comfortable home but instead, they get some total wacko who shouldn't be allowed to inhabit the same planet as animals !
