Dont tell Buckingham Palace....................Hi everyone.
I have had a lovely birthday meal today at a waterside inn with hubby, my lovely daughter-in-law and my granddaughter to celebrate mine and my d-i-ls birthdays so it was a double celebration
My d-i-l is 52 and I am 79.
Unfortunately I had to tell my d-i-l to take my 18 year old granddaughter home early because granddaughter was full of a heavy cold and she would be better in bed.
I had insisted that I did NOT want any presents but when they came I was handed two prettily packed presents.
They told me which one to open first.
I opened one end and put my hand in to pull whatever it was out and I felt something furry
and could see when looking in the bag something bright red.
The family rolled up when I said " Oh my gawd!!!!!I hope this isn't a thong with fur round the edges because
if you think I am going to model it you have another b****y think coming."
They were laughing their heads off as I very warily pulled out what was in it and as old as I am I was thrilled to bits to find a rigout for my Teddy Bear.
The other present held the boots to put on him.
They bought the bear for me when they took me to the bear factory a few years ago because
my granddaughter knew that I had NEVER had a cuddly bear in my life.
OK so it was crackers I know for an old biddy to be so taken with the clothes for a Teddy Bear
but it was a lovely surprise and Eddie the bear looks super in his new rigout.
Here he is in his new uniform ready to guard me.
He sits on my bed during the day.
