Eve of Destruction. (Original 1965)This track still sounds a valid message and is as exciting (and scary) today as when I bought the copy of the single all those years ago.

Yes, I bought that single too. Do you remember the counter- record" the Dawn of Correction"? It contradicted everything Barry McGuire sang, but I've never found anyone that remembers it!
Sadly, I gave all my singles, around 200, to a friend who was setting up a mobile disco. I'd recorded them all on my old Akai reel-to-reel deck, but that doesn't work anymore!

If you still have the tape spool, then the contents can be removed quite easily, and re-recorded onto another format.
I don't remember that other song you've mentioned though.

The Dawn of Correction was by the Spokesmen. (They also had a minor hit over here with their version of the Beatles' "Michelle")
As for the tape transfer, I'm afraid that is low on the list of priorities, unless I win the Lottery!
