Getting ThroughHow do you get through all that beaurocracy and red tape, and manage to actually speak to a human being on the phone.?, I simply wanted to ask someone to send me an application form for Disability Living Allowance.
Tried the freephone numbers, but they are too busy to take my call.!
Had a little surf on the Internet for local Job Centres, which are part of DWP anyway, and just got referred to the freephone number again, tried this and after navigating all those menu's, got put on hold again.! Then I rang up my local office and the lovely lady not only had a form, she took my details and she's going to post it to me, miracles do occasionally happen.!

It's simply the "Luck of the Draw", Mike. When phoning government departments, I have found that the two best and most helpful to deal with are DWP (Pensions), and Inland Revenue and Customs, although with the latter, you do tend to get shunted around a bit.
The most important quality you need, however, as a caller, is paitence by the bucketful!
