It's another "Bank Holiday" today. And, guess what? That's right, it's peeing down with rain, it's 12.30. and so dark that I have to keep my sitting-room light on. I'm trying to do my bit for the Environment, honestly, but how can I when to even function, I need to keep the bloody light on?
Using expensive electricity, and the bills are rising rapidly by around another 25% this year.
I have a car, and can no longer afford to put expensive petrol in it, so, consequently, it justs sits there, deterorating and losing value. I'm paying expensive monthly payments for it's insurance, the road tax, and, there it is, just sitting there, going nowhere.
I was going to get a bus today and travel down to Southend for a day out at the Air Show.
It won't be worth it, because any flying displays will be hard to see today, or probably cancelled, because it's also blowing a gale as well as pissing with rain.
So, just another typical bloody British Bank Holiday!

I wonder, (I often do), if the surge in the price of oil and energy generally, isn't a "conspiracy" by the Global Warming Brigade to get us to use less of it.?
They know we would not give up our cars and our lifestyles voluntarily, so they are using pricing tactics to quite literally price us into submission.

I use Bertoli spread and the 1kg pack which had been £2.22 in Tesco went up to £2.75 but they had 500gm packs on special offer for £1.00 each.
So I got two 500gm packs and saved 75p. I went in on Sunday and they still had the offer on the 500gm packs but the Kg pack had gone up to £4.04p.
I think they must have made a mistake in the pricing and I did ask but no one knew anything about it so I got another two small packs which will be reverting to normal price at the end of this week.
Apart from that our weather on Monday was sunny with a fresh breeze that made it just right it's overcast today though.
