Local Islamic Leader charged with "Inciting Racial HatrOur local Islamic Leader, a "Pillar of the Community", was up in front of the Magistrates yesterday for "inciting racial hatred".
I kid you not, this is a true story. He has been bailed to be sent for trial next year. Appently he went outside his home ranting and raving at some Nigerian kiddies who were "playing nearby".
Couldn't make it up, could you?, as Richard Littlejohn would say.

Ken, I shall be watching this case with close interest, even to the extent of finding out the date and sitting in the Public Gallery!
I know the man, as we used to sit on a few Committies together. He was a "Trustee" of a local Voluntary Organisation as I was myself.
I stopped all my committee work when Lou moved in with me. She is quite enough to look after sometimes, believe me.
Seriously though, this could have far-reaching ramifications, and I'll keep you posted as to developements.
