Recently I have been trauling through the Manchester Libraries
Archive site,I was actually trying to fine where the name of my house
oringinated "Valentine", as there are a number of other
local buldings and street names bearing this name. Could not find anything at all.
But in the section of old photograghs I came across this picture
of the first hairdressing salon I bought, way back in the 60's,
eventually it was compulsary puchased and a new housing
estate is there now.
It was such a good business even though it was not in a particularly
prosporous area,I loved it there, and I worked very long hours.
Hope I can get the picture to come up.
