Mikes Photo'sI have taken up the Hobby of Photography again, after quite a long absence.
Later on this year I will dust off my Darkroom and do some developing of
Colour negatives. In the meantime I'm snapping away with a NIKON 35mm Film Camera,
taking interesting photo's, my favourite subject at the moment is Portraits of Buskers and Street entertainers.
Here's one of a Street Entertainer in Covent Garden in London

Seems as if dear old London still has more than it's share of charecters, Mike. Great portrait study. They seemed pleased to be photographed. There were (are?) two great pubs in Camden Town, the "Black Cap" which used to host brilliant Drag Shows, and "The Father Red Cap". Did you notice them?

Mike, the "Black Cap" is up the road from the tube station, (on the same side), and the "Father Redcap" is further up on the opposite side of the street.

Mike, are you sure those were Trees that you photographed? They look more like Ents to me? (Treebeard in Lord of the Rings).
|
metalmike

Yup, definately a Tree.!, not a Trffid or one of those giant walking thingies in the Film LOTR.

hi jo-jo,thanks for the comments on my photo's, You can still take excellent pics with a basic camera, just be bold, experiment, and get as close as possible and fill as much of the frame as you can, especially when doing plants, animals or people. Check to see how near your camera's lens will focus to the subject. Happy snapping.! p.s It's fair to say I do have a good Camera, (one of a growing collection), which is a NIKON SLR, which has all the bells and whistles you need, and some you dont.!
p.s didn't take this one.!, it's from a lovely Website called stuffonmycat
if you love Cats you will love this site.!

I will have to have a look at that site,I do love cats I have always had one, my last cat Arnie was put to sleep 18months ago and I promised my OH I would not have any more, everytime I bring it up,he reminds me of what I said,I hope I will have another some day,
Mike who do you upload your photos with? mine is free imagehosting but they don't upload as large as yours I will post a picture to show you
See what I mean

Jo-Jo, you can post photos here using our own forum facilities, the only thing to remember is that they must be no larger than 640x480 and they must be in jpg. format.

Jo-jo that's a lovely photo when you click on it and it enlarges, I use photobucket and it does have a facility, apparently, for using enlargeable thumbnails but I haven't bothered with it. Have you looked on your hosting site to see if you have a choice of size to post.
Tony has a Canon 400 digital SLR mike, they do make the world of difference to the quality don't they? I love the clarity of your photos I don't seem to post mine so much now because his are so much better.
See what I mean taken by Tony through the bus window from way outside the enclosure.

thanks to everyone who complimented me on my photos,
but dont forget these are just a selection from many i've taken
most of the others are a bit rubbish.!
But one good thing about using a digital camere,
is that you dont waste film, and can just delete
pictures and start again, which reminds me, I will have to
do some serious deleting of some of my picture files on the P.C.!
