I have heard such a lot this past two weeks about the increase in cruelty to animals. It upsets me to think about it particularly since the North-east is apparently the worst offender.

There have been two cases up here recently where a lot of animals were involved. How can you forget to feed a stable full of horses and dogs and leave them to starve to death or eat each other to live?

I am hoping that it is actually just more cases being reported rather than more animals being ill-treated.

Marie, we're supposed to be a Nation of animal lovers, but after watching those images on t.v. the other evening, I don't think we really are. My own little dog was a victim of neglect, and she really suffered before I came to the rescue. People who neglect or ill-treat their animals should have a strictly enforced life-long ban on ever keeping any more in the future
