I'm not sure whether or not I should be posting this in this thread or in the HUmour section, but as it is real and not a ficticious event, I will leave it here for now !
It was treproted in the Daily Mail on Thursday, that Labour has introduced 3,000 new laws since they came to power, that is roughly 1 new law every day they have been in government Some of the laws were listed in the paer, just to give everyone a flavour of the sort of thing this government is squandering our money on these days
1/ Nuclear explosions (Prohibition and Inspections Act 1998):- It is illegal to cause a nuclear explosion !
you don't say ? that has really upset my future Guy Fawkes day plans !
2/ Preservation of Wrecks (RMS Titanic) Order 2002:-
Ebtering the hull of the Titanic without the permission of the Secretary of State is forbidden !
this is great, it's nearly 200 miles off Newfoundland , deep in nearly 3 miles of water, who in the hell is going to police this one? It's in International Waters and doesn't even belong to the government !!
3/ Merchant Shipping ( Miscellaneous Amendments Regulations 2002) :- This makes it illegal for an officer to report that a bridge door is closed and locked when it isn't !
looks like another one from John "2 shags" Prescott !
4/ Courts Act 2002 :- makes it an offence to meddle with a vehicle clamp !
just when you find a harmless pastime, some bugger goes and changes the law !!!
There were quite a few more, but I'm falling asleep trying to work any interest in them, these, believe it or not, were the exciting ones

IT IS ENOUGH TO MAKE ANYONE WANT TO SLEEP ADMIN.
STILL, THE POOR DARLINGS HAVE TO AMUSE THEMSELVES I SUPPOSE. AND SAY ' WELL WE DID DO SOMETHING' NO MATTER HOW OBSCURE OR INEFFECTIVE.

I saw that one too Ken - mind you, I always knew that anything you enjoy is usually illegal, immoral or it makes you fat! Mind you, I think we should be told how much the fine will be for these crimes, then we will know which of them we can actually afford.
