Quite A Surprise.

Some time ago my son asked me if he could use any stories or poems that I have written to put on the online magazine that he belongs to.
He designs test gear and puts all the instructions on the site for young budding electronics experts to copy and bulid.

I said he could use anything that I had written with my permission but I didnt think any younger folk would be interested in what I have to say.
Much to my surprise this magazine has published my evacuee story and even put graphics in it to make it more realistic.
I feel honoured to think that they have taken the trouble to do this and if you are interested go here. ...........................

Thank you May, for that link to what is a very interesting story. I enjoyed reading it very much.

I was born in 1945 so don't remember anything about the actual war itself, but I do remember Ration Books, and the shortages of certain foods, which, as you know, lasted right into the fifties.

I also remember playing on bombsites, and inside semi-ruined houses.

There were many of them.
