The S.N.P. took the seat from Labour, who have held it since the year dot.
A swing of 22% and a Crowning Victory for John Mason, the Scottish National Party Candidate.

The actual By-Election broadcast was only shown on television to viewers in BBC Scotland area, but the Beeb did "stream" it live via Broadband link. So I watched the whole thing on my computer.
Live television via your phone line. Isn't technology wonderful?
Oh, by the way, it's "official". I am now labelled "A Political Anorak". This is the expression used by the BBC Host of the programme, for poor, saddo's like myself, who are not only partly insommniac, but also find Politics enjoyable.
