SunderlandWe went last Sunday to the National Glass Centre which is below ground. That's misleading, it's two stories high at the river side but the roof is level with the road. They had glass from designers all over this country and Scandinavia. Lovely, unusual pieces.
There were two of them working and they ran backwards and forwards from the furnace to the back.
It's at the mouth of the Wear and what a lovely day it was. So quiet though.

Let's not get too carried awy here Marie, after all, I am still a Magpies supporter (albeit slightly lapsed of late ), i will go and see their glass blowing and try to partake of their culture, but I draw the line at eating whilst I am in enemy territory ! If they find out wher I originate from, they might try and poison me with n that new fangled Polony 215 or whatever it's called !!!
