SylviaHas anyone heard from Sylvia she doesn't seem to be here much at the moment and she is a real miss. I hope she is just on holiday.

I have heard from and spoken with Sylvia on the landline. She has been busy in her garden, and her youngest daughter has been in hospital. She's perfectly O.K., and hopefully will be back with us soon.

I did wonder where she had gotten too as well. I'm glad to hear she is OK and will hopeful;ly be returning shortly.
She will need a week to read all the new posts

Slagging off?, Guest, slagging off??? C'mon, it's about time some people realised the difference between 'slagging off' and what was meant as a tounge in cheek reply....(you'll have, hopefully, noticed the smiley after the post?)
If I ever want to stoop so low as to 'slag off' people on a Public Forum, I would certainly not do so to my own Members, now would I? Oh and by the way, if you are NOT a Member of this Forum then keep your nose out. If you ARE a member, then, please have the guts to identify yourself.!

SylviaHonestly, this incident has gone to far, my partner DID NOT slag off Sylvia, she never ment or intended to do so.
I can't understand how an intended innocent comment can be taken so far the wrong way then blown up so far out of proportion that it has resulted in what has happened, its just crazy and mad.
Can't we just put this blooming incident to bed?, don't you think it's gone on long enough?, blimey will we be here this time next year still banging on about it?.
STOP THE WORLD, I WANT TO GET OFF!!!.

SylviaJust as an addition to my above post i'd just like to inform "guest" that me and my partner are still friends with Sylvia and i personally talk to her on the phone about whats happening in her life from time to time, and i'm concerned that shes alright and well.
And if she ever needs any help from me with her computer, she can be tottaly assured that i will always do the job for her to the best of my ability with the care and attention to good workmanship that i've always done, she has NO worrys about that whatsoever.

for the record, the guest post was from me, i forgot to sign, i did not mean it to be an annonymous post. nice to see it has achieved the desires effect, and got you talking to sylvia again though. and why can't noin members voice an oipinion here anyway, is'nt that what forums are all about. i dont think it is very nice telling non members to keep their noses out. its quite offensive really. and you can ban me if you want, i have my own, more open discussuion forum anyway, which you will notice i DO NOT keep plugging on here, unlike some other members. Hi Vailron I thought it might be you. I thought admin was joking with Sylvia, I still do.
Sylvia posted wherever she happened to be whether it was the correct subject or not. I loved it and looked forward to her postings. Admin has never said anything before why should she start with a harmless joke.
You were the one who took it too far on the computer thread as far as I was concerned. If as you say you have a forum of your own you should appreciate that when someone goes to the trouble and expense of setting up a website things should be put where that person wants them to go. I have always excepted Sylvia from that rule because she gives so much pleasure with her postings.

Vailron, firstly, thank you for coming out and being upfront with your post.
With regards to Non-Members, of course they are 'allowed' to post here, and, providing it isn't 'spam' or anything unpleasent, it's an 'open' Forum except for certain topics which are clearly marked.
Of course I'm not going to 'ban' you. Why on earth should I? I enjoy your posts about Shetland and it's climate and wildlife. Please, keep them coming.
