Hi, Vailron, thanks for your post. Your're right, the weather certainly has improved over the past couple of days, and today, it's really warm.
As you know by now, we do not have many members yet, it's difficult to attract new ones, but the ones we do have, like yourself, are valued and respected.
Please keep your posts coming, it's good to hear different voices and opinions. _________________ http://sewardchronicles.ning.com/
so sorry folks, but i had to go out this morning and despite trying to get back quick, everywhere i went, there were delays. i went in our local farmfoods, picked up 4 items and one checkout open with 7 people in front of me with loaded trolleys. they wouldn't open another checkout and nobody offered to let me shoot through fast, so i dumped the basket at another closed one and told the girl she can put them back. i wont be going back there in a hurry.
How old? I beat you both. I am 60 in September, but after today feel like 80, but have the mind of a teenager as done a 'Roadshow' for a Heritage Line and raising awareness and support for it.
Vailron, I made the most of the sunshine today and got stuck in with some gardening, then I cleaned out my pond, oh it was so messy and very smelly too (horrible), then the wahing machine finished it's cycle so I pegged out loads of washing. Today's warm sunshine brought out the best in me, I even got around to cleaning my car inside and out and I'm very pleased with the end results.
Tonight I sit down feeling rather cream crackered and sip a glass of white wine. After my busy day, I feel I have earned it!
Unfortunately, it rained most of the day here, so work was confined to indoors only The old abode is now festooned with washing drying on hangers, clothes horses etc.
Managed a bit of cleaning but my heart wasn't really in it today, dusted a few models off and then decided to trim the old beard as it was a bit like having a maniac staring back at me through a privet hedge whenever I looked in the mirror ! Now when I look in the mirror, a convicted psychopath stares back at me
I too am now "cream crackered" and a bit scared that the bloke in mirror will get me in my sleep tonight
Oh Ken, you're so funny, what am I going to do with you?
As for the bloke staring back at you in the mirror, well I've come to know him over recent months and let me tell you that he has a very kind heart and he genuinly cares about other people, especially when they are troubled. He's inoffensive, never rude or smutty, and a perfect gentleman. He's one of the best and liked very much by everyone on this Forum.
You can rest easy now Ken, because that bloke staring back at you in the mirror, will never hurt you!
Oh, by the way Ken, thanks for sending the rain over to Essex today, it's raining cats and dogs outside. So glad I did my gardening yesterday.
Note: How did heavy rainfall get the name cats and dogs, does anybody know? I wish I did!
we got a mention here in shetland yesterday, 13 hours sunshine, admittedly not very warm but 13 hours of sun, same today. thanks for the birthday wishes.
