Oh My God Sandie.
It surprises me that folk can remember her from five years hence but NOONE was curious or nosey enough to go and knock on her door to see if she was OK if she had not been around.
What in the world is happening to folks.
If I dont see my elderly neighbours about by a certain time during the day I either phone or knock on their door to see if they are alright. _________________ If you cant say something nice then dont say anything at all.
It's just so tragic, Maisie, that things like this are allowed to happen.
I don't often feel for coppers, but I do feel sorry for the poor Officers who broke the door in and found, what? just a skeleton with clothes on?
Doesn't bear thinking about, does it.
Like the time when I was running a squatters organisation in West London, and we were friendly with our local Beat Bobby. One evening he turned up on our doorstep almost in tears, and told us that he had spent his shift "bagging up body parts" of people that had been involved in that bomb that went off at one of the exhibitions in London.
Isn't that typical of todays way of life, we pay our bills direct debit pensions are paid into banks, gone are the days when the rent collecter called also you paid for your milk at the door each week, but what I don't understand is why didn't the gas or electric companys call???unless her metres were out side, poor lady to have no one who missed her _________________
The thing is Joan, left to themselves, Direct Debits will continue indefinitely and her pension would have fed her account, as she wasn't spending anything else from the account, there would have been a tidy sum accruing, poor dear, at least she will have enough money saved up for a good send off.....even if they are only burying or cremating a virtual skeleton!
