This is the kind of story - tribute, really - that comes along only a VERY few times in your life. PLEASE watch this. If you have anything else that is more important, put it on the back burner for less than 3 minutes. It can wait.

This is about Irena Sendler - a Polish woman ... but I'm not going to tell you any more. I guarantee that you will sit there, at the end, with your mouth agape at the very least.

i wonder if any you have seen the film or read the book called "Shindlers List"when the film came on the T.V. i watched it and taped it as well because its on for 3 hours, since then iv seen it 3 more times and also managed to get hold of the book,im sure that that lady would have related to all that went on in the book and film, what a wonderfull woman.
when the war had ended my Dad bought 6 books about it because he thought that us children should know just how bad it had been for the people who were taken prisoners, the books were very grafick and i will remember them untill the day i die,i hold no grudg against the German people now but it think its just as well to remember what went on so that with luck it will never happen again ...............

Yes, Jackie. I have the book and the video of "Shindler's List".

The book is very emotive, as is the film.

I am not Jewish, but it is easy to feel deep sympathy for the Jews and the way they were treated by Nazi Germany.

Is it any wonder that today's Germans don't like to talk about those days when their whole Country was tarnished by the deeds of a few?

well i think that the young people have had it drunmd into them that what happend all those years ago was just so bad that they have tryd to put it out of their minds BUT iv taken students over the years and iv got to say that as nice as they are the German sudents dont realy like us English Sandie,i know it might sound as if im being silly but iv taken so many that it realy shows you know i cant realy put my finger on it but its just the attitude they have,if any of our members are German then im sorry i dont want to sound rude but it comes across as if they still think that they realy are a superior race
