Well, it's time for yet a further System Upgrade. I shall be going from my present processor of 2.6gb, to a Pentium 4 of 3.2 gb. There will also be a new SATA Motherboard installed, along with a higher-end Graphics Card.

New Heatsink and other general upgrades to handle the extra power and performance.

I now have all the components required, so it is all systems go. Hopefully, if all goes smoothly, it will take a day to upgrade.

Looking forward to the extra speed and performance. Very Happy

Well tomorrows the Big Day! My system will be down for the best part of the day, for the work to be carried out.

Well, Hello There! I'm Back again! The Upgrade did not go very smoothly at all, just when everything was re-connected and re-configured, the Operating System decieded it did not like the new Motherboard and other upgrades, and had to be re-loaded.

Then, the Power Supply decieded to blow a fuse, luckily we had a spare one.

Computers, don't you just love 'em?

My Grateful Thanks to Lou for all her hard work and time spent in getting everything up and running again.

No problem Sandie.

I was really annoyed when the power supply decided to blow a fuse after I'd done all that hard work.

But as you say i had a spare (well quite a few spares actually).

I know you complain about all the computer parts that i have lying around the place (making the place look untidy).

But as you can see it's more than useful to have them if you ever need them in an emergency.

In fact every good computer engineer should do the same thing.

I was so glad when i finally finished, i was bloody knackered and tired afterwards.

And then MY computer started to play up, i felt like crying Crying or Very sad

.

But i managed to sort that out as well, fortunately.
