There is this pathetic little saying that goes, 'Sticks and stones may hurt my bones, but words will never harm me.' Well I'm here to tell you it is a load of bollocks! Words hurt, words crush, words destroy, and words kill.

On the word of a bully a child can be beaten. On the word of a Mafia Boss a man can be shot to death. On the word of a Police Officer a young Aboriginal man can have false charges laid against him. A woman can scream all manner of vulgaraties before beating her best friend. A parent will spit out the nastiest of words before locking her child in her bedroom or basement.

So why do we demean eachother with such dergatory words? Well, the answer is simple. You can hit someone but the bruise will eventually heal. Words linger in the mind. Torment the soul. Take control of one's thoughts and actions until these words are so embedded in the brain that you honestly believe you are exactly what the person called you.

I'll give you a few examples. When you are called a whore often enough. You will become a whore. Whether it is sex for payment of money or just a cheap slut. When you are told you are useless and will never amount to anything. Well of course you won't! You will never gain the confidence to use your full potential to become somebody that is productive to society. When you are constantly told 'I wish you were dead.' Or 'You don't deserve to live.' You will eventually believe these words. Some people tend to self-harm while others outright kill themselves. Or someone will send you an e-mail or letter (on purpose) that is not meant for your eyes. And these e-mails and letters are full of demeaning and hateful words by someone you don't know. What do you do? How can you fight back? You can't expose the people because you were not meant to see this mail. You can quietly confront the people in question. But you know you won't receive the redemption you deserve. Yes they may apologize. But the damage is done. The words were written. Perhaps not for your eyes. But you saw them anyway. I find this one of the most hurtful of all.

So why do we use words to hurt people? I personally see it as a coward's action. He or she doesn't have the balls to fight or hold a decent debate. So he or she will settle for demeaning a person, child or someone's loved one.

Have you ever come accross someone who's been as sweet as honey to your face then a couple of days later a good friend will come and tell you of all the nasty things said behind your back? I have. But I'm a tough bitch. When this has happend to me, I call the person in question out. If they are in striking distance, I've beaten the shit out of them. If I can't reach them, then I call them out with a 'Please fucken explain?'

I suggest to everyone who has ever been bullied, slagged off, insulted or gossiped about with absolutely no justification. Stand up to them! Call them out. Get your true friends behind you to help. Give them what they gave you. It's the only way you'll overcome your fears and insecurities. Stand up to the bullies! And if they are in striking distance. Give 'em the flogging of their life.

This is for everyone who has ever been verbally abused for absolutely no reason what-so-ever. Now go get 'em!!!
