Are doctor's home visits a thing of the past?
My two grandchildren aged 5 and 3 yrs, came out in a rash yesterday,
they also were vomiting and runny noses.Their mum rang the doctor
who said "take them to A & E if they get worse".We had Booth Hall
Childrens Hospital fairly local.
Now I of course am no doctor but, I know Measles when I see it.
Measles is contagous, so why take them to the hospital where there
are other kids, who are poorly for various reasons.
However this morning they are worse the doctor still would not
come out, they are at the A & E and have been for about three
hours, coughing sneezing, feeling poorly and restless speading germs. Mum and Dad stressed,
Tell me! WHY DO WE PAY NATIONAL INSURANCE?

Yes I think they are a thing of the passed, unless it's a terminal illness because one of our neighbours had Cancer and wanted to die at home and the Doctor was very good and came whenever was needed,I was pleasently surpised when my Doctor came to see me while I was in hospital didn't realise that still did that.
Hope your Grandchildren soon recover, if it is measels it can be nasty have they had the vacine Dora? _________________
Thanks everyone for your good wishes. They are still quite poorly,
they were at the hospital for four hours.
Regarding G.P's visits: I alway understood that babies, young childred
and the aged were a priority.I realy can not see that spreding the
virus in the Childreds Hospital makes any sense.
So if G.P. don't visit any more what do they do after the 9amto11am
and 4 to 6pm surgery.?
Seems a bit cushy to me.
Sorry I seem in such a bad mood, but I am rather upset, because
of how poorly the childred were, and why spred it to others.
Still doesn't make sense to me.
