The news has just broken on the BBC website that Kathy Staff who played Nora Batty in "The Last of the Summer Wine" has died today.

She had been ill for some time.

Such a great pity, she was a much under-rated actress.
That only leaves "Cleggy" from the original bunch now, I think !

Yes, Ken, poor Cleggy is left on his own. Mind you, there is still Ken O'Grady and Sarah Thompson? (who plays his wife) left as well, although they are both quite a bit younger.

"Last of the Summer Wine" has been going for years, and it's great comedy, nothing really sexual or smutty, just harmless fun.

Comedies like this are now very much a "dying breed" of entertainment. Crying or Very sad
