Driving to Bath on Saturday to collect one of these little beauties for my Home Recording and Podcasting Studio.:

This has been lifted straight from Stantons' own website, and gives a full description of the new equipment.

Stanton S750 Dual AntiShock CD Player

The Stanton S750 Dual AntiShock CD Player, was the top of the range model before it was replaced costing over five hundred pounds. This Stanton S750 twin CD player has an incredible set of features for this bargain price. Everything from adjustable pitch range and seamless looping, to key correction, filters and even reverse play. Never before has such a well specified CD player been available at such a low price.

We only have one left of these bargain dual cd players which has been on display, it comes in great condition, with all accessories and a 1 year warranty.

   * Stanton S750 Dual AntiShock CD Player
   * Filter effects controllable via fader & jog dial
   * Key Correction
   * 4 Seamless Cue points
   * 20 second Anti-shock per side

After an horrendous drive (torrential rain),  over to Bath this morning, I managed to collect the equipment, and, boy, is it worth it. It is a great professional twin CD unit with a separate control panel.

My friend Steve, came along with me for the ride as he had never been to Bath before.

The journey home was at least made in dry conditions, but the roads were really busy and the standard of driving was appalling. Five accidents were passed on the way home, naturally the police closed the motorway down to only one lane so the tailbacks soon started.

We eventually arrived home safe and sound just after 6.15pm.

I have spent this morning "testing" the new equipment, it's really good, a brilliant system, just one minor point is that it doesn't play MP3 discs, however, a minor issue for me, as I don't have many MP3 discs anyway. Rolling Eyes

I really am pleased with it Joan. BTW The difference with MP3 Discs is that although they can be burned onto a CD, the music files are very compressed so it means that you can get almost two hours of recorded music on an ordinary size compact disc.

The CD player in my car will play MP3 files, but the equipment I picked up over the weekend won't play them as it can't "read" them.

However, this is a minor point and nothing to worry about, as it has so many other features not found on ordinary home CD players.

A great result at my local Flea Market this morning. A complete set of "Supertraxx" C.D.'s produced for Professional D.J's. The discs contain 17 or 18 Original Recordings and there are Fifty C.D's (882 tracks in total), in the Book-like Album. Every track is Cross-Referenced and listed both by Artist and Title.

All kinds of music are featured on them, everything from Tommy Dorsey's Big Band sound to the "Birdie Song"!!!!!

The Seller also "threw in" for free a JB Systems professional sound mixer because I bought the complete set of C.D's from him.
Very Happy

Further to my earlier posts re my studio. I now also have a pair of Wharfedale Valdus 400 speakers that will replace the older (and inferior) Aiwa speakers.

By the time that I have finished upgrading the complete set-up, I should have a sound recording/playback system to be proud of.

Have been putting the "finishing touches" to the Studio today, wiring up the new second record deck and the couple of new microphones to the mixer.

Only thing I am still waiting on is the "On Air" sgn that still hasn't arrived from Hong Kong yet. (Three weeks now).

You can watch a video clip of the Studio being refurbished here:

Replaced the USB record decks with professional ones last weekend, JB Systems "Disco 2000's".

Complete with pitch variables, stylus lights and strobe lights, these are both belt driven, and are really good. However, the belts have stretched a little and will need replacing very soon, other than that both decks are in full working order. Yet another eBay bargain!

The "On Air" sign arrived and has been fitted too.

The only thing I am still waiting on is the new wireless router so I can use both computers online at the same time.
Very Happy
