Please, Marie, do post any comments you might have here. I don't expect for one second that everyone will agree with my views, but, this is a democratically run Forum, and good open honest discussion is what a good Forum should be about.

afterwards I decided that if you hadn't wanted us to reply on that thread you would have locked it. Sorry.
I was looking at October's quote of the month admin and haven't ever seen one from Charlie Chaplin before. Do you know what he meant by it? I mean defend youself physically or just from the fact of growing old.

Hi Admin, I noticed that the Silver Surfers Forum was being updated on Saturday and there was something mentioned about 'BIRTHDAYS' which I may have interpreted rightly or wrongly. I assumed that birthdays would flash up automatically when the 'Members' special day comes around.
Can you tell me please Admin, just how this will happen, or have I interpreted it wrong? I'm sure the other Members on this forum are wondering the same thing. Thanks, Sylvia |

Sorry Sylvia, I've been rather involved with other online projects recently, and although I knew that some work was being undertaken on Saturday, I do not know what exactly has been done. I'll try to find out and get back to you.

Marie, too many people ask for too many details these days, I was asked for my DOB last week from a complete stranger over the phone. I asked him "Why do you require that?" and was told that he wanted to make sure that he was speaking to the right person......this after I confirmed my name and postcode! I told him to "get stuffed" and hung up!
He hasn't called back again. I don't like being rude to people either on Forums, the Phone, or face to face, but, honestly sometimes they push me too far, and I give them a good earful.
