I had some yarn leftover from knitting that I used to do some time ago and I decided to use it up on this set to give my wrist and arm some exercise to get it moving properly again.

What a lovely little jacket, is it a moss stitch or the purl side, did you find it painful to knit, Maywalk?

Hi Marieann,
I did find it quite painful at first but it has got my hand and wrist moving again.
The jacket is knitted all in garter stitch. The worst part was trying to hold it when knitting the hood. It got heavier as I went along.

I have done about 10 different cardigans since then. My hairdresser has had three, she is soon to become grandma again. My d-i-i has had two for a Christmas present. I am just doing them now to put aside in case anyone else wants a knitted garment.
Knitting has become extremely popular again and many celebrities have started to do it to allay their nerves before any shows, from what I have read. Smile

I do that too Jojo. Been doing it for some years now. I usually give them to the school because all the children do a shoebox and are always after a knitted cardigan or sweater.

Here are two that have gone in the shoeboxes Jojo

Just bobble hats Maywalk, to fit ages from two to fourteen, you don't have to put a bobble on them, and if you do some I will post you some postage money, that sounds funny but you know what I mean,I would also send you some wool if you wanted Smile

I will see what I can do for you Jojo but its a bit late now for Christmas shoeboxes isnt it?.

I am just finishing a V necked jumper for a little lad and I will see what wool I have left over to knit one or two for you, even if they are too late for this year they will probably come in for next year.

PM me the address where to send anything to please so that I can keep it in my files.
Cheers Maisie.  Smile

I will see what I can do for you Jojo during the coming year.
I might even ask my neighbour to do a few if she has any wool left over.

I would need the address though to send them to please plus the date when you will need them for.
